Hello i'm 16 (17 on 9th May) years old, i'm a student in a Technical Institute in Italy.

The first time i read about The Singularity and everything sorrounding it was on November of the last year, i was fascinated and i enjoy surfing the web looking for some news since then.

This is the first forum i found regarding this argument so i though i'd register :)

Hello Shinjeez, and welcome!

 

We launched this Forum only a few weeks ago, and so we are still working on getting discussions going. 

There is actually quite a bit going on in Italy with regards to the Singularity/Transhumanism.

In October, 'Transvision' was held in Milan: http://transvision2010.wordpress.com/

Riccardo Campa (although residing in Poland) is a prominent figure at the Institute of Ethics and Emerging Technologies, and founded the 'Italian Transhumanist Association'. (http://www.transumanisti.it/)

Gulio Prisco is another famous Italian Transhumanist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G…..lio_Prisco , working primarily with Virtual Reality systems.
