What if tomorrow a free device became available to everyone in the general public that would exponentially enhance your intelligence, but it came at the cost of compromising your appearance?

I'd wait for the miniaturized version. The one in the photo look terribly uncomfortable. Even aside from that, I'm reluctant to do things to my body . . though eventually I know I would have to self-modify to "evolve" and keep up with everybody else.
