Pretty much most serious aspects related to the Singularity seem to be greatly under-discussed. I think we need to look at all the political, legal, ethical, economic, religious and even existential implications that arise from such a radically unique event…

I second Socrates, plus I would also like to specifically see discussion of non-human personhood (including non-human primates, dolphins, etc.), and animal rights in relation to the Singularity, and speciesism in relation to our expectations of the post-Singularity.

George Dvorsky's Sentient Developments blog is a good place to start for those unfamiliar with the concept of animal rights in relation to Singularity objectives.
