We have already looked at some smart clothes and smart exercise machines that are currently being developed. Yet, so far we haven’t mentioned anything about smart underwear.
The following video from Reuters News shows off the latest prototypes of smart underwear currently in development for the US military. The pair of high-tech undies is intended to measure all your vital signs, detect any potential injury, transmit the information wirelessly and even direct the release of drugs.
Needless to say, the potential application for such smart underwear goes well beyond the military and can be successfully applied in variety of cases such as people suffering from different diseases such as diabetes, the elderly or some sports enthusiasts.
The only question is: What’s next?… Smart toilet paper?
