What is Nanotechnology?

Together with genetics and robotics, nanotechnology is one of the main scientific fields with direct implications to the technological singularity. There is a large and rapidly growing number of relevant YouTube videos and this page will post a collection of some of the most interesting ones.

Put simply nanotechnology is technology made on a very small scale (e.g. the atomic and molecular scale). Generally it deals with structures 100 nanometers or smaller, and involves developing materials or devices within that size.

Given its broad definition, nanotechnology can include and be a part of a variety of other diverse disciplines such as chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, computer science, electronics and medicine.
