Bionic Hand

Playing the piano with a prosthetic bionic hand may still be some time off. (Personally, I think no more than 10 years) But there can be no doubt that we are moving in that direction.

This short video from Reuters shows a fire fighter who lost a hand in an accident and hopes that a new generation of bionic hand will allow him to return to work.

The questions that remain are:

Where do we draw the line between man and machine?

At what point do we stop to be human?

Double arm transplant? Heart transplant? How about brain transplant?

Is the brain really that different?!

Will technology replace biology?
